CONTEXT

Nowadays an event’s digital presence is as important as the event itself — it represents the more lasting testimonial of what happened during those days. Communication is a key factor of their success. I decided to work on KaÅŸ Jazz Festival website that already has a nice design. I wanted to challenge myself by transforming a good looking website to an impactful website and asked myself:

  • How can I have an impact on the jazz fans through a digital product?

  • How can I transfer the good vibe of the festival spot that is a hill running down to the Turquoise Coast of southwestern Turkey?

RESEARCH

As this project was mainly focused on the user interface, I scanned the existing research about the topic and found valuable scientific data accordingly. Talking about impact and emotions an Arts and Humanities Research Council funded research report called "The impact of (jazz) festivals" has helped me shape my visual direction.

MOODBOARD

Willing to have an emotional impact on the user and finding a valuable insight accordingly, shaped my visual direction of the product.

CHILLY

I created a new logo inspired by the festival city and the jazz music itself. Combined with Jazz and the components of the sunny Mediterranean KaÅŸ City. Already offering pleasure to have an impact on the user through a digital product.

INTERACTIONS

VIDEO EDIT

As per my research and focus area of creating a pre-temporal impact, visual content had a crucial importance for an experience transfer through digital product. Therefore, I used previous Summer JazzFest visuals content and edit them.
